What is the Great American Cleanup?
The Great American Cleanup is the nation’s largest organized annual cleanup & beautification event. It encourages citizens to get involved in their own communities. Millions of volunteers nationwide take part in the Great American Cleanup each spring
The Wisconsin Great American Cleanup is sponsored by Keep Greater Milwaukee Beautiful (KGMB), Inc., and is part of the national Great American Cleanup program sponsored by Keep America Beautiful (KAB).

If you would like to join a community cleanup or beautification event in the Greater Milwaukee Area, simply check out our calendar. In it you will find the dates, locations and contact information for each cleanup. Information for Site Coordinators:
What is a Site Coordinator?
A site coordinator is anyone who wants to organize a cleanup between March 1st and May 31st. As a site coordinator registered with KGMB you can receive supplies for your cleanup event. Your cleanup event must be between March 1st and May 31st to receive garbage bags, posters, THANK YOU coupons and other supplies.

Great American Cleanup Information Meetings take place annually in early spring. If you are interested in atteding an informational meeting, please RSVP to gac@kgmb.org or (414) 272-5462. See calendar for meeting dates.
Register
To sign-up, simply fill out the online Site Coordinator Registration Form. If you are unable to fill out the online form, you may register by mail/fax using the Registration Form included in the Site Coordinator Information Packet.
Pick Up Supplies
Supplies are available for pickup from KGMB (1313 W. Mount Vernon Ave.) on Fridays from 8:30am until 6:00pm. You will select your pickup date when you register. Map it!
Recruit Volunteers
Volunteers are the most valuable assest of the GAC. Ask friends, family, co-workers, neighbors, schools...anyone who has a vested interest in keeping our community clean adn green. See information packet for more details.
Report Back
Turn-in an online Wrap-Up Report Form by June 4th, or two-weeks after the completion of your last cleanup event, whichever is sooner. If you are unable to fill out the online form, you may send one in by mail/fax. There is a Wrap-Up Report Form included in the Site Coordinator Information Packet.
Community Kickoff Day
Saturday April 20th (9am - 12pm)
Help us kick off the 3 month long Great American Cleanup with our Community Kick-Off Day.
This 2013 Kickoff Site is Kiwanis Landing (2178 N. Riverboat Rd. - off of Humboldt Rd. and N. Commerce St.). Registration begins at 8:30.
Interested in volunteering for the event with KGMB Staff?
Volunteers will be stationed at our kick-off site from 8am-1pm where they will help set up, register volunteers, and pass out supplies. If you are interested in volunteering visit our volunteer page and follow the instructions to "Becoming a Volunteer"
